Groupe RETEC enters into a strategic alliance with TRCC Canada, two Canadian companies, allowing for its easy access to the NAFTA markets (Canada-US - Mexico) and also the European and Asian markets.
29 June 2015 – Group RETEC, a company developing waterproof and ecological surface coatings for paper and paperboard used for industrial and food applications made its mark by offering components consisting of materials that are renewable, completely recyclable, compostable and repulpable. The strengths of Groupe RETEC are Research and Development, application processes and sales. To ensure its sustainability, Groupe RETEC just concluded a strategic alliance with TRCC Canada, a Canadian subsidiary of TRCC. TRCC, a chemical and technological multinational, offers facilities across the world for the production of finished products technology, management of raw materials and transportation logistics for distribution.
The technological strengths of both groups are also well aligned as TRCC has been developing and commercializing speciality coatings and adhesives since its inception in 1956. Surface chemistry is a shared strength between the two groups. This alliance, a first step towards an implementation strategy of a brand new 100 % green packaging technology which will radically transform packaging components, will lead to the production of exceptional products competing both on price and performance with the current base technology of these markets consisting of non-recyclable coatings
based on fossil oil. Each year in North America, more than five (5) million tons of paper and paperboard are coated with wax and polyethylene based technologies that very unfortunately end up being buried in landfills without the possibility to be recycled; this represents 60 million trees per year! In our opinion, we feel that petroleum-based treated packaging will soon be a thing of the past. The market is demanding more and
more that companies make green and recyclable packaging for the good of the environment, on which our well-being as well as that of our future generations depend. Retec, in alliance with TRCC Canada, is now able to meet the growing demands of the market for green technology for the benefit of the industry, the environment, and the citizen of the world.

Retec f3 Technologies
Finalist in the prestigious contest Les Mercuriades 2013 in the category of "Innovation Investment Quebec"
Granby, February 22, 2013 – It was on Thursday, February 21st that Retec, represented by Mr. François Dandeneault, President and Chief Executive Officer, qualified as a finalist in the contest Les Mercuriades 2013 in the category of “Innovation Investment Quebec”
Retec f3 Technologies is a business from Granby, QC in full expansion. They develop waterproof and ecological coatings for paper and cardboard used in industrial and food industries. The components, made from renewable materials, have the unique characteristic of being completely recyclable and repulpable.
It is the first time that an ecological company has been able to be competitive in both price and efficiency with non-recyclable petroleum base coating manufacturers. Unfortunately, every year in North America 5 million tons of paper and cardboard treated with wax and polyethylene are dumped in landfills which represent 60 million trees per year!
Everything brings us to believe that with Retec’s RF3 technology, wax and petroleum based polyethylene treated packaging will soon be a thing of the past. Market demand is forcing businesses to produce greener and recyclable packaging for a more ecological environment. Retec is able to finally respond to this industry demand and at a low cost.
RETEC products are a significant step ahead in terms of technological innovation. Rf3 technology is recognized around the world as being the most innovative and performant in its domain. The investment in research and development has beard fruit as proven by this nomination in the contest Les Mercuriades 2013.
